Description

If you are a quality- and safety-focused CNC Machinist/Programmer looking to apply your experience and strong work ethic with a globally established company, Emerson has an exciting opportunity in Pasadena, TX. You will manufacture proprietary valve components for industries including oil & gas, petrochemical, power, and aerospace, producing new internal and external parts to close tolerances from a variety of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-nickel alloys. You will also support our professional service team by machining and repairing existing valves and valve components.

 

  • Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 AM (base pay + $1.00 shift differential) 
  • Pay Rate: $30.29 – $43.18 per hour, commensurate with experience (Overtime opportunity available)
     

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Be responsible for personal safety and for the safety of others. Must maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
  • Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensions.
  • Develop and edit CNC programs using G-code and other programming languages.
  • Verify program accuracy and troubleshoot any programming issues.
  • Cross-train on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow including but not limited to engine lathes, manual drills, horizontal bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC mills.
  • Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.
  • Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawings.
  • Potential for field assignments using in-line machine. Some travel may be required.
  • Adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience; additional technical education is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role.

  • Familiarity with a variety of CNC machines and controls.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Mechanical related Associates degree or 5+ years of experience with machining and fabricating.
  • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM (MasterCam) & SolidWorks’ modeling is preferred
  • Welding knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in the process control industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred.
