Candidates with expertise in Neonatal Intensive Care, Neonatal Critical Care, High-Risk Newborn Care, Neonatal Resuscitation, Prematurity, and newborn medicine are encouraged to apply.ROLE OVERVIEWThe successful candidate will provide consultant-level Neonatal and NICU care within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment supported by experienced consultants, neonatology nurses, respiratory therapists, allied health professionals, and advanced neonatal intensive care infrastructure.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide consultant-level care for premature, critically ill, high-risk, and low-birth-weight newborns in NICU and neonatal care settings.Diagnose and manage neonatal emergencies, respiratory distress, neonatal sepsis, congenital conditions, birth complications, and other complex neonatal presentations.Manage premature and high-risk infants requiring respiratory support, nutritional support, monitoring, and specialised neonatal care.Lead neonatal resuscitation and stabilisation of newborns in delivery room, NICU, and emergency settings.Perform and supervise neonatal procedures according to clinical expertise, approved privileges, and facility scope.Provide advanced neonatal critical care, including mechanical ventilation, non-invasive respiratory support, and management of complex neonatal conditions where applicable.Coordinate care with Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Paediatric Surgery, Paediatric Cardiology, Radiology, and other relevant specialties.Monitor growth, development, feeding, clinical progress, and discharge readiness, with appropriate follow-up planning.Provide counselling and support to parents and families regarding neonatal conditions, treatment plans, prognosis, and follow-up care.Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and clinical governance standards.Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, neonatal protocol development, and patient safety programmes.
