We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Medical Oncologist to join a leading healthcare facility.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical oncology care, diagnose and manage patients with various types of cancer, develop individualized treatment plans, and work closely with a multidisciplinary oncology team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with solid tumors and hematological malignancies.
Develop individualized cancer treatment plans based on diagnosis, staging, clinical condition, and current treatment guidelines.
Administer and supervise systemic anticancer treatments, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and hormonal therapy where appropriate.
Monitor patients during treatment and manage treatment-related adverse effects and complications.
Review and interpret pathology reports, molecular studies, laboratory investigations, and relevant imaging.
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and other specialists.
Provide cancer screening, risk assessment, preventive counseling, and survivorship care where applicable.
Manage oncological emergencies and coordinate urgent care when required.
Provide appropriate supportive and palliative care in collaboration with the relevant teams.
Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, side effects, and follow-up.
Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and clinical documentation.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and continuing medical education (CME).
Ensure compliance with healthcare authority regulations, hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
