Job Description - Specialist PediatricianLocation: Abu Dhabi, United Arab EmiratesWe are seeking a highly qualified Specialist Pediatrician to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents by diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide range of pediatric illnesses and developmental conditions. The role includes outpatient and inpatient care, emergency pediatric management, newborn assessment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with DOH regulations and international clinical standards.ResponsibilitiesAssess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. Conduct routine pediatric examinations, developmental assessments, growth monitoring, and well-child visits. Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses, infectious diseases, respiratory disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine conditions, allergic diseases, and nutritional deficiencies. Provide newborn examinations and routine neonatal care. Manage pediatric emergencies and stabilize critically ill children until appropriate transfer or admission. Administer and monitor childhood immunization programs according to national and international guidelines. Interpret laboratory investigations, diagnostic imaging, and pediatric diagnostic tests. Educate parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, growth, development, vaccination, and disease prevention. Coordinate patient care with pediatric subspecialists, surgeons, neonatologists, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention, clinical audits, and patient safety programs. Supervise junior physicians and contribute to teaching, mentoring, research, and continuing medical education (CME).
