Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information is required, along with a minimum of five years of experience in programming, analysis, and design. Extensive experience with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies, Oracle Database, Oracle Developer Suite 10g, and developing Business Applications is necessary. Proficiency in programming, analysis, and design courses, good knowledge in designing tools, web enabling existing client-server modules, and the ability to tune modules for better performance are also required. Fluency in verbal and written English and excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential.

Job SummaryThe Senior Application Developer guides other application developers and leads in the creation of large or complex applications that facilitate the achievement of business outcomes through the use of process and technology. They must establish what a customer needs, delegate projects to team members and follow up to verify all projects are completed on time and as requested.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesTranslates business requirements into technical design and/or solutions using defined systems development life cycle (SDLC) framework.Designs, develops and tests software components of an application using appropriate software tools and languages, and adheres to design reviews, code reviews, deployment documents and appropriate industry standard development methodologies.Drives the resolution of complex technical problems.Provides leadership and technical expertise to facilitate the implementation of new complex applications and complex enhancements of existing applications.Actively leads and mentors other developers.Establishes and maintains documentation for coding standards and technologies used across IT Perform peer reviews to ensure adherence to standards.Communicates business information, technical information and developments to users and technical staff in both verbal and written form; provides or coordinates feedback to management and/or users on all open issues.Uses data and other information to influence customers to the appropriate decision.Conducts specialized studies of various applications work procedures and use of program products and programming tools and recommends standards where required.Maintains effective liaison with Owner Company representatives on availability of systems, results of feasibility studies and appraisals of software products of interest.Participates in activities of professional application programs and thoroughly reviews business and industry publications to keep abreast of new systems development.Reporting toCIOSupervisesApplication DevelopersQualificationsA minimum of:Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Management Information.Five (5) year experience in programming, analysis and design in similar environment.Extensive experience with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.Experience in Oracle Database.Experience in Oracle Developer Suite 10gExperience in developing Business Applications.Courses in programming, analysis and design.Good knowledge in designing tools.Web enabling existing client-server modules.Ability to tune modules to better performanceFluency in verbal and written English.Exhibits excellent interpersonal communication skills.
