The ideal candidate will have strong technical presales, solution architecture, or deployment architecture experience, with a hands-on background in delivering enterprise infrastructure into on-premises, private-cloud, or customer-controlled environments. Proven experience working with cybersecurity, defence, national security, government, or other highly regulated/security-sensitive customers is required. Must be able to lead customer discovery, understand technical requirements, and translate them into clear, commercially viable solution designs, including experience running POCs and proofs of value. Strong knowledge of Linux systems, enterprise networking, storage, data-centre infrastructure, containerised platforms, and infrastructure-as-code (Kubernetes experience is desirable) is essential. Excellent documentation skills and the ability to bridge sales and delivery teams are also critical.

Cybersecurity Deployment Architect - Presales & SolutionsWe are hiring a technically credible Deployment/Presales Architect to help design and deliver secure, sovereign technology platforms for customers operating in cybersecurity, defence and national-security environments.This is not a purely commercial presales role. You will be the technical authority from initial discovery through to proof of value and deployment readiness - translating complex customer requirements into secure, practical designs that product and delivery teams can execute.You will work across air-gapped, on-premises and customer-controlled environments where resilience, access control and operational security are critical.Key responsibilitiesLead technical discovery workshops with customer infrastructure, security and operational teams.Translate customer requirements into solution architecture, deployment plans and technical proposals.Own the infrastructure and deployment element of proposals, including sizing, hardware requirements, storage, network design and implementation approach.Run customer POCs and proofs of value, providing ongoing technical guidance through the sales cycle.Act as the bridge between customers, sales, product engineering and delivery teams.Produce high-quality technical documentation including low-level designs, bills of materials, network plans, runbooks, readiness checklists, RACI matrices and risk registers.Support delivery teams through deployment planning, commissioning, acceptance criteria and technical escalation.Create reusable reference architectures, standards and deployment playbooks as the delivery capability scales.Engage with customers across cyber, defence, national security and other security-sensitive sectors.Must-haves:Strong technical presales, solution architecture or deployment architecture experience within a technology vendor, systems integrator or consulting environment.Hands-on background delivering enterprise infrastructure into on-premises, private-cloud or customer-controlled environments.Proven experience working with cybersecurity, defence, national security, government or other highly regulated / security-sensitive customers.Ability to lead customer discovery, understand technical requirements and convert them into clear, commercially viable solution designs.Experience running POCs, proofs of value, technical demonstrations and follow-up solution workshops.Strong knowledge of Linux systems, enterprise networking, storage and data-centre infrastructure.Experience with containerised platforms and infrastructure-as-code; Kubernetes experience is highly desirable.Ability to create and defend low-level designs, capacity/sizing models, hardware specifications and bills of materials.Strong documentation skills, including deployment runbooks, implementation plans, technical proposals and acceptance test criteria.Credibility to bridge sales and delivery teams while engaging confidently with senior technical customer stakeholders.A proactive, adaptable mindset and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.The right personYou will already be operating in technical presales or solution consulting, with credibility grounded in previous hands-on engineering or delivery experience.You must be comfortable moving between customer discovery, technical solutioning, product discussions and delivery planning. You will know how to ask the right questions, challenge requirements where necessary and translate complex customer needs into clear actions for technical teams.This is a growing, all-hands-on-deck environment, so adaptability is essential. You must be able to learn new technology quickly, work with limited structure and take ownership from the first technical conversation through to delivery handover.
