Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.Review and interpret designs, drawings, and contract documents to identify discrepancies, resolve ambiguities, and verify quantities.Develop tender and project Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in strict alignment with industry standards and project-specific requirements.Coordinate with design, engineering, and site teams to align estimated quantities with actual site conditions and project progress.Evaluate contractor and subcontractor claims, variations, and change orders—ensuring compliance with contract terms and accurate quantification.Support the procurement process by preparing tender BOQs and evaluating bids to confirm quantity-related pricing and contractual compliance.Participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings to support the resolution of quantity-related conflicts and technical discrepancies.Assist in final account preparation, valuation approvals, and final reconciliation of completed quantities.Maintain updated records of quantity changes, site instructions, variations, and valuation logs throughout the project lifecycle.Requirements & Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and BOQ preparation for civil, structural, or MEP projects.Blueprint Reading: Strong capability to read, interpret, and analyze complex engineering drawings, CAD files, BIM models, and technical specifications.Industry Standards: Deep knowledge of standard measurement methods (e.g., POMI, NRM, SMM7, or local regional equivalents) and standard contract frameworks (e.g., FIDIC).Analytical & Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy in numerical analysis, cost auditing, and identifying scope gaps or document discrepancies.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with site engineers, contractors, and procurement teams.
