Air Q Limited is looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with a strong quality engineering background in manufacturing, preferably UAV or aviation, to support product quality, compliance, quality systems, and continuous improvement across UAV production.The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality systems, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements across UAV production.Key Responsibilities1. Quality Systems & Process DevelopmentDevelop, implement, and maintain quality plans, inspection criteria, and control plans for UAV components and assemblies.Design and update work instructions, checklists, and acceptance criteria in line with engineering and customer requirements.Establish and maintain calibration programs and measurement system analysis (MSA/Gauge R&R) for inspection equipment.2. Non-Conformance & Build VerificationLead root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) for recurring or critical non-conformances.Own the CAPA process; ensure timely investigation, corrective action, and closure of NCRs.Analyze defect and quality trend data to identify systemic issues and drive preventive action.Support MRB disposition decisions for non-conforming material.Train and mentor inspectors/technicians on quality standards and procedures.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and cycle time.Report quality metrics and KPIs to management to support data-driven decisions.3. Compliance, Audits & DocumentationMaintain compliance with AS9100 and applicable customer/regulatory requirements.Lead or support internal quality audits and prepare for external and customer/certification audits.Maintain QMS documentation, ensuring revisions are controlled and current.Support First Article Inspection (FAI) per AS9102 and release documentation.Support NPI and design reviews to ensure manufacturability and inspectability of new designs.4.
