Job description:Officer - InsuranceFinance & Corporate Development / Tax, Risk & Resilience JOB PURPOSE: To support the department in the establishment and effective management of EGA's group-wide (re)insurance and risk mitigation programme KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Policies, Processes & ProceduresFollow departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls to ensure consistency, standardization and accuracy in ways of working.Support the half-yearly review of the Disaster Recovery Document for appropriate amendmentInsurance OperationsSupport the procurement, renewal and maintenance of the group-wide insurance policies, processes and procedures to ensure functionality and accuracySupport on group-wide project and operational (re)insurance requirements including coordination of insurance parties on site to support an effective and strategic risk transfer strategy decision by senior managementSupport the review and maintenance of the departmental compliance with all internal and external requirements and administrative processes including Loan Covenants and associated requirementsManage claims notification to Insurance parties and ensures accuracy of data communicated internally on claimsCoordinate all claims management workshops for internal Customers including maintaining accuracy of the claims process chartsProactively support the full claims management cycle including coordination and accuracy in communication with insurance parties and internal CustomersProvide technical assistance to the loss investigation parties and to internal CustomersMIS & ReportingAssist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports for section in order to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standardsContinuous ImprovementSupport the Department in the implementation of and recommend improvements to insurance programmes, procedures and controlsSafety, Quality & EnvironmentComply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to support EGA's objective in retaining employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude Related AssignmentsSupport fully internal and external audit processes including any government audit processesSupport fully any insurance requirements of stakeholders AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING Guidelines: Thinking within clearly defined policies, standards, specific objectives and close supervision of seniors Decision Making:Direction of work is subject to practices and procedures, output is closely supervised QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or equivalentPreferably working toward obtaining professional qualifications Minimum Experience:0-4 Years of related functional experienceSkills:Effective communication skillsInterpersonal skillsData mining, analysis and excellent reporting skillsProficiency in MS Excel, MS Office
