We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced consultant pediatric pulmonologist to join a leading healthcare provider in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will provide specialized respiratory care for infants, children, and adolescents, managing complex pulmonary conditions through evidence-based diagnosis, treatment, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key responsibilities
Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric respiratory conditions, including:
Asthma and severe asthma
Chronic cough and recurrent respiratory infections
Bronchopulmonary dysplasia
Cystic fibrosis
Sleep-related breathing disorders and sleep apnea
Pediatric interstitial lung disease
Congenital and acquired airway disorders
Chronic respiratory failure
Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Interpret and utilize diagnostic investigations including:
Pulmonary function tests (PFTs)
Spirometry
Bronchoscopy (where credentialed)
Sleep studies
Chest imaging and laboratory investigations
Manage pediatric patients requiring long-term respiratory support and complex airway care.
Provide patient and family education regarding disease management, inhaler techniques, and home care plans.
Collaborate with pediatricians, intensivists, allergists, ENT specialists, radiologists, physiotherapists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
Participate in pediatric respiratory MDT meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and continuing medical education (CME).
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DHA standards and hospital policies.
Mentor junior physicians and contribute to teaching and service development.
Requirements
Qualifications & requirements
MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
Board certification in pediatrics with fellowship or recognized subspecialty qualification in pediatric pulmonology.
Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience at consultant level.
Eligibility for or possession of a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) consultant license.
Expertise in pediatric respiratory medicine, chronic lung disease management, and advanced pulmonary care.
Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
Commitment to delivering compassionate, family-centered, evidence-based care.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience working in internationally accredited children's hospitals or tertiary pediatric centers.
Expertise in pediatric bronchoscopy, sleep medicine, cystic fibrosis care, or respiratory critical care is an advantage.
UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
