About the Job:The Warehousing and Material Handling Senior Engineer ensures seamless material handling and warehousing operations across the plant, from inbound receiving to lineside delivery, enabling safe and efficient operations. This role drives daily operation execution, secures material availability, and leads in-plant logistics to achieve OTIF (on-time, in-full), inventory accuracy, and lean operationsResponsibilities:Daily Operational ExecutionManage all warehouse and material handling activities, including unloading, receiving, labeling, storage, picking, kitting, loading, and lineside delivery enforcing FIFO to ensure operational continuity & efficiency.Define, implement, and continuously improve warehousing and material handling standards, processes, tools, and work instructions (STS/TIS) in alignment with company strategy, operational efficiency, inventory targets, and cost optimizationLead daily operations to resolve short-term material and schedule issuesReport operational scores, drive improvement, and act upon performance deviationsTeam Leadership & SafetyLead and supervise warehouse operations personnel by setting objectives, assigning responsibilities, monitoring performance, conducting evaluations, supporting succession planning, and identifying training and development needsEnsure adherence to company standards, governance, safety regulations, and process execution while identifying opportunities for operational improvements and enhanced service delivery.Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse and material handling performance, ensuring timely reporting and continuous operational improvement.Inventory Accuracy, ERP, MES/WMS, PFEP & ComplianceEnsure proper utilization, maintenance, and safety compliance of handling equipment & technical assetsEnsure accurate material records through regular count process and support supply chain team in variance analysis and reconciliationImplement and maintain SAP/MES/WMS processes to ensure real-time inventory visibility and accuracyQualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field with 7+ years in warehousing, supply chain, or transportation within automotive/manufacturingSAP and WMS knowledge (advantage)MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Strong communication and leadership skillsAnalytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to manage competing priorities and work under pressureNegotiation and situational management skillsTeam player, self-motivated, resilient, adaptable to change
