Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, specialists, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and surgical infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Assess, diagnose and manage patients with a broad range of urological conditions across outpatient and inpatient settings.
Perform urological procedures and surgical interventions according to clinical privileges, expertise and facility scope.
Manage conditions involving the urinary tract, kidneys, bladder, prostate and male reproductive system.
Conduct appropriate pre-operative assessment, obtain informed consent and provide comprehensive perioperative and follow-up care.
Perform and interpret relevant urological investigations and collaborate with radiology, oncology, nephrology and other specialties when required.
Manage acute urological presentations and post-operative complications appropriately.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control and clinical governance standards.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, service development and quality improvement initiatives.
