This role is crucial for driving store sales through effective use of selling techniques and comprehensive product knowledge. Success in this role will be measured by meeting sales targets, operating the POS system efficiently, adhering to store procedures, and contributing to a positive corporate image through merchandising. What you will do Customer service Provide high-level customer service, both internal and external, by being aware of product categories and assisting customers in a professional manner. Ensure customers have a complete shopping experience by maintaining tidy and organized store areas. Sales operations Operate the point of sale (POS) system as needed, maintaining high accuracy in all transactions. Utilize selling techniques and product knowledge to drive sales, meeting targets and increasing revenue through add-on sales. Product knowledge and merchandising Actively learn and understand the uses and benefits of products to advise customers accurately. Apply merchandising principles to ensure the store reflects a corporate image and is visually appealing. Assist in receiving deliveries and displaying goods according to approved procedures, ensuring products are available for customer purchase. Pricing and inventory Comply with in-store pricing and ticketing procedures to ensure accurate customer pricing and protect against losses due to incorrect pricing. Participate in activities such as stock takes, new store openings, and product or seasonal launches when required.
