Product Owner – HR, Attendance & Workforce ManagementLocation: EgyptBusiness Environment: B2B Enterprise / GCC MarketsPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Product Owner – HR, Attendance & Workforce Management to lead the functional ownership, continuous enhancement, and business evolution of our enterprise HR and Workforce Management solutions.The selected candidate will be responsible for defining and maintaining the product vision, managing the product backlog and lifecycle, analyzing customer and business requirements, controlling scope, and ensuring that delivered solutions meet agreed business requirements and acceptance criteria.The role covers HR, Attendance, Leave Management, Payroll Inputs, Overtime, End-of-Service (EOS), Workforce Management, biometric device integrations, ERP integrations, and Wage Protection Systems (WPS/SIF), where applicable.The Product Owner will work closely with customers, Project Owners, QA, Sales, Support, and Technical Management.The Product Owner is responsible for defining what needs to be delivered, why it is required, its business priority, and the acceptance criteria, while the Technical Management team remains responsible for the technical architecture, design, implementation approach, technical resource allocation, and deployment strategy.⸻Key Responsibilities1. Product Vision & Roadmap* Define, maintain, and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap.* Manage the evolution of HR, Attendance, Leave, Payroll, Overtime, EOS, and Workforce Management capabilities.* Identify opportunities for product standardization and continuous improvement.* Balance strategic product development with customer requirements and regulatory needs.* Ensure product functionality remains aligned with applicable labor and regulatory requirements.2. B2B Client Requirement Analysis* Engage directly with HR, Finance, Operations, and IT departments of enterprise customers.* Lead requirement-gathering and business-analysis sessions.* Understand and document: * Attendance policies * Shift rules * Flexible working rules * Leave policies * Overtime calculations * Payroll inputs and deductions * End-of-Service rules * Approval workflows * Reporting requirements * Device and system integrations* Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.* Coordinate with Technical Management regarding technical design and implementation requirements.3. Product Backlog Ownership & Prioritization* Own and maintain the Product Backlog.* Create clear and complete User Stories.* Define measurable Acceptance Criteria.* Prioritize requirements based on: * Business value * Customer impact * Regulatory requirements * Severity * Product strategy * Dependencies* Ensure development teams receive complete and approved requirements before implementation begins.* Maintain visibility of backlog status, priorities, and pending decisions.4. Change Request & Scope Management* Review customer requests and correctly classify them as: * Bug * Change Request (CR) * Enhancement * New Requirement * Configuration Requirement* Determine whether requests fall within the agreed project/product scope.* Prevent unapproved customer requests from being transferred directly into development activities.* Assess the business impact and urgency of Change Requests.* Coordinate with Technical Management to assess technical impact, effort, dependencies, and delivery feasibility.* Coordinate with Sales and Management when a Change Request requires a commercial proposal, quotation, or customer approval.* Maintain clear documentation and traceability of approved changes.5. Integrations & System ConnectivityOversee the functional requirements and business validation of integrations with:* Biometric attendance devices* Payroll systems* ERP platforms* Government platforms* Wage Protection Systems (WPS/SIF)* Third-party APIs and enterprise systemsEnsure that:* Business integration requirements are clearly documented.* Data mapping requirements are defined and validated.* Expected synchronization behavior is clearly specified.* Integration results meet agreed business requirements.Technical architecture and implementation remain the responsibility of the Technical Management team.6. UAT, Business Validation & Release Acceptance* Define business acceptance criteria before development begins.* Coordinate with QA to ensure test scenarios cover agreed business requirements.* Review completed functionality against approved requirements.* Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with customers.* Track UAT observations and ensure proper classification and resolution.* Provide business acceptance before functionality is considered complete.* Confirm that agreed business requirements have been successfully delivered before production release.The Product Owner is responsible for business and functional acceptance, while QA remains responsible for functional testing, regression testing, defect validation, and test evidence.7. Product Stability & Recurring Issues* Monitor recurring production incidents from a business and customer-impact perspective.* Identify patterns in recurring customer issues.* Work with Support, QA, and Technical Management to prioritize permanent improvements.* Participate in Root Cause Analysis where business rules or product behavior are involved.* Ensure that recurring issues are addressed through product improvements rather than repeated temporary solutions.* Monitor the accuracy and reliability of attendance, payroll-related calculations, and business reports.Technical performance, database optimization, infrastructure, and code-level troubleshooting remain under Technical Management.8. User Experience & Product Adoption* Collaborate with UX/UI teams to improve the user experience.* Simplify workflows, dashboards, forms, approvals, and reports.* Analyze customer feedback and usability issues.* Support customer demonstrations and product presentations when required.* Support UAT and customer training initiatives.* Improve product adoption through better functionality and usability.9. Compliance, Access & Data Protection* Ensure functional requirements properly address employee data confidentiality.* Review business requirements related to roles, permissions, and access control.* Ensure Role-Based Access Control requirements are properly defined.* Consider applicable labor, payroll, and regulatory requirements during product development.* Coordinate with Technical Management regarding technical security implementation.10. Reporting & Product KPIsPrepare periodic reports covering:* Product roadmap progress* Backlog status* Open Change Requests* Critical customer requirements* UAT status* Release readiness* Recurring product issues* Product usage and adoption* Customer feedback* Delivery risks and blockersTrack relevant KPIs related to product quality, adoption, outstanding requirements, recurring errors, and customer satisfaction.
