The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care to newborns, infants, children, and adolescents, managing congenital, developmental, traumatic, and acquired surgical conditions while working closely with pediatricians, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists. Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive pediatric surgical consultations and clinical assessments. Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired surgical conditions in newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Perform elective and emergency pediatric surgical procedures according to clinical expertise. Manage common pediatric surgical conditions including hernias, appendicitis, undescended testes, hydrocele, and gastrointestinal disorders. Provide surgical care for congenital anomalies and neonatal surgical conditions. Perform minimally invasive and laparoscopic pediatric procedures where qualified. Manage pediatric surgical emergencies, including abdominal emergencies and trauma. Provide pre-operative assessment and develop individualized surgical treatment plans. Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery, complications, and rehabilitation. Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, pediatric intensivists, anesthesiologists, radiologists, and other specialists. Counsel parents and families regarding diagnosis, surgical options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes. Maintain accurate patient records, operative notes, and clinical documentation. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME). Ensure compliance with healthcare authority regulations, hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols. Participate in on-call duties and emergency pediatric surgical coverage as required. Requirements Qualifications & requirements MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
