Requires strong credit and financial modeling skills, knowledge of corporate and/or investment banking products, excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities, strong communication skills in Japanese and English, and superior Excel and PowerPoint skills. Prior experience in corporate or investment banking with a strong corporate finance/credit background and participation in a banking analyst training program are preferred.

Take part of the role is part of the Global Corporate Banking team based in Tokyo and expose yourself with broad spectrum of future opportunities as a banker!  

As an Analyst banker within the Global Corporate Banking team, you will be responsible for managing relationships with Japan-headquartered companies focusing on clients with global operation and growth aspiration. Our Mid Cap business provides traditional corporate banking products as well as investment banking products to its clients.  Our business partners include product specialists from M&A  Advisory, Equity and Debt Capital Markets, Markets Sale, Payments, Credit and Risk Management.

Job responsibilities

  • Support to deal teams and country leadership, with accountability for pitch book preparation, transaction execution and general country-level reporting requirements, while ensuring seamless coordination among deal team members, product partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Play an integral part to help gain, manage and maintain client relationships and generate new revenue opportunities either from prospects or existing clients in close coordination with senior bankers.
  • Demonstrate banking-related experience, the ability to assess and document credit requests and discuss clients’ capital structure, risk management and strategic M&A initiatives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong credit and financial modeling skills and knowledge of Corporate and/or Investment Banking products
  • Excellent problem solving and detail-oriented analytical capabilities
  • Highly motivated, a self-starter and a team player
  • Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in Japanese and English
  • Superior Excel and Power Point skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Any Corporate Banking and/or Investment Banking experience with a strong corporate finance/credit background
  • Prior participation in a banking analyst training program
