The successful candidate will safeguard company assets through rigorous control measures and accurate financial reporting.The Senior Inventory Specialist will report directly to the Finance Manager and will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of our inventory records. This position supports the financial close process and ensures operational compliance with internal and external audit requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Inventory Specialist will be responsible for the following key areas:Inventory ReconciliationThe role executes daily cycle counts and monthly reconciliations to ensure physical stock matches system records within acceptable tolerance limits.Chain of CustodyThis position maintains detailed records of all metal movements to ensure full traceability and compliance with LBMA Responsible Gold Guidance.Audit SupportThe specialist prepares documentation and facilitates physical inspections for internal audits and external LBMA accreditation reviews.Variance AnalysisThe role investigates any discrepancies between expected and actual inventory levels to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.System IntegrityThis position validates all inventory transactions in the ERP system to ensure accurate financial valuation and reporting.Process OptimizationThe specialist reviews and improves inventory handling procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce the risk of loss or error.Team TrainingThe role trains junior staff on proper weighing, sampling, and documentation protocols to maintain high standards of accuracy.Financial CloseThis position provides timely and accurate inventory data to the Finance team to support month-end and year-end closing activities.Qualifications●     Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field is required.●     At least five years of experience in inventory management within a high-value or regulated industry.●     Strong knowledge of internal controls and audit procedures for tangible assets.●     Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis.●     Understanding of precious metal units of measure and purity standards.●     Excellent analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex discrepancies.●     High level of integrity and attention to detail in handling sensitive financial and operational data.●     Fluency in English is required for professional communication and reporting.Preferred / Nice-to-have●     Experience in a gold refinery, bullion bank, or precious metals trading firm.●     Professional certification in inventory management or accounting.●     Familiarity with LBMA Good Delivery rules and Responsible Sourcing standards.●     Knowledge of Saudi Customs procedures for importing and exporting precious metals.Success Metrics●     Monthly inventory reconciliation accuracy exceeds 99.9%.●     Zero major non-conformities during annual external audits.●     Month-end inventory closing completed within three business days.●     All inventory variances investigated and resolved within 48 hours of detection.●     100% compliance with chain-of-custody documentation requirements.●     Successful implementation of improved inventory tracking procedures.●     Positive feedback from internal and external auditors on data readiness.Equal Opportunity Statement:Saudi Gold Refinery welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
