We are seeking a skilled Painter & Polisher to join our Facilities and Maintenance team at [Golf Club Name]. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out painting, polishing, varnishing, and surface finishing works across the club's facilities, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest aesthetic and quality standards consistent with a premium hospitality and golf environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare surfaces for painting and polishing by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks, and repairing minor imperfections.Apply paint, varnish, lacquer, stains, and protective coatings to walls, ceilings, doors, furniture, woodwork, and other surfaces.Perform polishing and finishing work on wooden, metal, and other decorative surfaces to maintain a high-quality appearance.Carry out touch-ups, repainting, and restoration work as required.Select and mix paints, stains, and finishing materials to achieve the desired color and finish.Operate brushes, rollers, spray equipment, sanding machines, and polishing tools safely and effectively.Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and club expectations.Coordinate with the Maintenance team to schedule work with minimal disruption to members, guests, and daily operations.Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe at all times.Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations when handling paints, chemicals, and equipment.Report maintenance issues, material requirements, and repair needs to the supervisor.RequirementsProven experience as a Painter & Polisher, preferably within hospitality, golf clubs, hotels, resorts, or commercial facilities.Knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, wood polishing, varnishing, and finishing methods.Familiarity with different paints, coatings, sealants, and polishing materials.Ability to work with painting and polishing equipment safely and efficiently.Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical fitness to perform manual tasks, including standing, lifting, bending, and working at heights.Good knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.Preferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Technical certification or vocational training in painting, polishing, or related trades is an advantage.Basic knowledge of general maintenance practices is preferred.
