University graduate in accounting, commerce or finance with an internationally recognized accounting/auditing qualification (ACA, CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.) or Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). Requires 10+ years of internal/external auditing experience in the Financial Services industry, with at least 8 years in banking Internal Audit, specifically auditing all areas of Personal Banking. Experience in auditing AML/CFT, regulatory compliance, and Consumer Protection Regulations is essential. Candidates must currently be working in a Manager role in a UAE bank, conducting audit assignments independently with minimum supervision.

Job PurposeSupport preparation of Annual Risk Based Audit Plans for all functions within the Personal Banking business.Perform semi-annual risk assessments of audit entities.Perform risk based audits, investigations, and consultancy assignments.Prepare audit reports and ensure completeness of documentation on Teammate.Perform continuous auditing of assigned areas/ product specialization.Work with management on plans to mitigate risk. Fieldwork is conducted in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal AuditingManage the exit meeting in a professional manner Maintain professional behavior with auditeesRisks and impacts are properly assessed and promptly reported to protect the Bank's interest.Reporting:Prepare a comprehensive executive summary that reflects the key risks and management risk awareness.Follow the IA risk rating methodology in assigning the risk rating.Timely completion of audit reports and special projects.Explain risks to auditees and identify root causes within an efficient time frame.Audit reports address the main audit concerns and provide value added recommendations for improvements.Follow up:Follow up on management actions addressing risks identified in audit issues to ensure they are implemented. Continuous audit for identified key risk areas undertaken periodically and results escalated.Update the list of reports to be tested periodicallyTesting is effective and results are accurateAction taken by audit team members is tested for quality assurance.Identify new initiatives, projects, products and operational changes at an early stageMaintaining effective & professional working relationships with all Bank employees.Initiate feedback on completed audit reviews and ensure obtaining response from auditees and management on the quality and usefulness of audit servicesAverage time taken to complete an audit from planning to reporting to be within the budget.Ensure timely attendance and punctuality.
