Description
Core Responsibilities:-• Monitor and evaluate the performance of patient care and ensure effective coordination among staff at non-critical units.• Supervise nursing activities of staff nurses, head nurses, within non critical care units. • Assist the Director of Nursing in workforce planning and task allocation for non-critical care nursing teams. • Ensure optimal utilization of medical supplies, equipment, and resources within non-critical units. • Review nursing staffing schedules for non-critical areas prior to approval. • Collect and consolidate monthly activity reports, statistical data, and annual reports, and submit them to the Director of Nursing. • Maintain nursing staff records, including sick leave, duty rosters, and vacation plans. • Responsible on daily rounds across the non-critical units to ensure the quality of nursing care and the process effectiveness. • Act as a liaison between nursing supervisors, head nurses, and the Director of Nursing. • Participate in staff orientation programs, training plans, and professional development initiatives for non-critical care nurses. • Contribute to mentoring, coaching, and guiding newly hired nursing staff. • Participate in staff counseling sessions and annual performance evaluations. • Conduct regular meetings with nursing staff to discuss unit-related issues and provide feedback and reports to nursing leadership. • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in non-critical care units. • Ensure implementation of patient and family health education • Take immediate corrective actions for any identified clinical errors to protect patient safety. • Support the resolution of patient and family concerns related to nursing services within critical areas. • Coordinate with all hospital departments to ensure best clinical practices and outcomes according to related standards. • Coordinate with the Infection Control Team to ensure adherence to safety standards and infection prevention protocols. • Monitor nursing practices to ensure compliance with professional values, ethical principles, hospital policies, and accreditation standards. • Review and support the implementation of nursing policies and procedures. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing nursing performance, education programs, unit activities, and defined roles. • Ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of clinical practices in line with patient safety and quality standards.
