Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in Cost Accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Good user-level knowledge of SAP is required.Good knowledge of manufacturing costing, standard costing, product costing, and variance analysis.Good understanding of inventory accounting, WIP, finished goods, COGS, and inventory reconciliation.Experience in analyzing material consumption, purchase price variances, labor, overhead, and production cost variances.Previous experience in steel structures, metal fabrication, tanks, or engineering industries is preferred.Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to analyze financial and operational data.Ability to prepare accurate monthly and periodic cost reports.Good command of English.Strong analytical skills, numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouses, and Finance.Ability to work effectively under deadlines, especially during month-end closing and physical inventory counts
Description
Calculate and analyze the actual cost of raw materials, labor, manufacturing overhead, and other production-related expenses.Prepare and maintain standard costs for products, production orders, and projects, and compare them with actual costs.Analyze cost variances, including material price, material usage, labor, overhead, scrap, and production efficiency variances.Monitor and analyze production orders and project costs through SAP, ensuring accurate allocation of costs to the appropriate cost centers.Review Bill of Materials (BOM), material consumption, production quantities, and manufacturing data to ensure accurate product costing.Prepare cost estimates for new products, steel structures, tanks, and manufacturing projects before production or quotation.Compare estimated project costs with actual costs after execution and prepare project profitability and cost variance reports.Analyze Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and evaluate the financial impact of changes in raw-material and purchasing prices.Monitor raw materials, Work in Progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory, and ensure accurate valuation and reconciliation with SAP records.Participate in periodic, annual, and surprise physical inventory counts, investigate inventory differences, and follow up on corrective actions.Analyze slow-moving, obsolete, damaged, and excess inventory and provide recommendations to management.Prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs versus actual manufacturing costs, highlighting significant deviations and their causes.Support the monthly closing process, including cost allocation, inventory reconciliation, production-order review, and General Ledger reconciliation.Maintain and improve the Cost Accounting System and SAP costing records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with company procedures.Provide management with analytical reports on product costs, project costs, pricing, margins, and profitability to support business decisions.Coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouses, Sales, Maintenance, and Finance to obtain accurate operational and financial data.Support internal and external audits related to costing, inventory, production, and financial records.Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives aimed at reducing waste and improving manufacturing efficiency.
