Description
We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially driven Category Specialist to support the growth and performance of assigned categories. The role is responsible for managing day-to-day category operations, supplier relationships, pricing execution, assortment optimization, and commercial analysis while working closely with the Senior Category Manager to achieve business objectives.RESPONSIBILITIESManage the day-to-day performance of assigned categories.Monitor sales, GMV, gross margin, and key commercial KPIs.Support the development and execution of category growth plans.Identify opportunities to improve category performance and profitability.Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned suppliers.Coordinate pricing updates, promotions, product launches, and commercial activities.Support commercial negotiations, including payment terms, rebates, credit terms, and promotional agreements.Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreed commercial terms and service levels.Follow up on purchase orders, stock availability, and replenishment.Resolve day-to-day supplier operational issues.Analyze category performance and provide actionable recommendations.Monitor SKU productivity, assortment gaps, pricing competitiveness, and customer demand.Conduct competitor benchmarking and market analysis.Prepare weekly and monthly business performance reports.Work closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial initiatives.Support the execution of category campaigns, new product launches, and promotional activities.Ensure pricing, product information, and promotional data are accurate and up to date.Monitor stock availability and minimize out-of-stock situations.Maintain category dashboards and performance trackers.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.1–3 years of experience in Category Management, Commercial, Buying, Retail, E-commerce, or FMCG.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Advanced Excel skills; Power BI is a plus.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
