This role oversees project planning activities, including developing detailed schedules, allocating resources, and coordinating timelines across multiple architectural and construction projects. The Senior Planning Team Leader leads a team of planners, reviews progress reports, identifies risks and delays, and recommends corrective actions to keep projects on track. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and the technical office to ensure alignment between design, execution, and contractual requirements. Daily responsibilities include monitoring project performance against key milestones, preparing planning documentation and reports, and supporting continuous improvement in planning processes and tools.QualificationsProject planning and scheduling skills, including proficiency with relevant planning software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and experience developing and maintaining detailed project timelines.Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience supervising planning teams, mentoring staff, and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.Solid understanding of construction and architectural project workflows, including resource allocation, cost control basics, and coordination between site and office teams.Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, assess impacts on schedules, and propose practical mitigation strategies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to prepare clear reports, planning documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field; advanced certifications in project planning or project management (e.g., PMP) are a plus.Demonstrated experience in a senior planning or project controls role within engineering, construction, or architectural firms, preferably with large or complex projects.Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work on-site in North Coast A, BC, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
