Location and type Dubai, UAE | Full-time Role summary We are looking for a senior, hands-on SAP FICO lead to drive finance process design, business process re-engineering, team leadership, and successful adoption of S/4HANA finance capabilities across the group. The ideal candidate will bring strong SAP finance leadership, hands-on functional capability, and proven experience driving adoption across diverse business entities, including contracting, engineering services, manufacturing, real estate, and logistics. The role requires close collaboration with business leaders, internal teams, offshore delivery teams, and system integration partners. Key responsibilities 1. S/4HANA financial module implementation Core FICO configuration: Design, configure, and implement Financial Accounting (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-AA) leveraging the Universal Journal (ACDOCA), and Controlling (CO-OM, CO-PC, CO-PA/Profitability Analysis). Specialized modules: Configure SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Cash Management, Receivables Management (FSCM), and Contract, Lease, and Real Estate Management (RE-FX). Group reporting alignment: Collaborate on financial data structures supporting SAP Group Reporting for consolidated financial statements across legal entities. 2. User adoption and change enablement Business process adoption: Champion the shift from legacy financial practices to S/4HANA standard best practices, driving high user adoption and minimizing resistance. Training and readiness: Design and oversee end-to-end user enablement strategies, super-user training programs, and post-go-live hypercare support across operating units. Change impact analysis: Assess business impacts of standard SAP processes vs. legacy workflows and formulate effective change mitigation plans. 3. Strategic leadership and delivery governance Functional leadership: Lead the SAP FICO track across the group transformation program, providing strategic direction, functional decision-making, and alignment with corporate financial goals. Team and vendor governance: Manage and direct hybrid onshore and offshore consultant teams, system integrator (SI) teams, and internal key users to ensure deliverable quality and project timelines. Stakeholder alignment: Act as the primary financial functional liaison between C-suite executives, business heads across subsidiaries, and IT leadership. 4. Integration and quality oversight Master data and cross-module synergy: Oversee mapping of Chart of Accounts, Business Partners, and transactional items, ensuring seamless integration between FICO, EPPM, VSM, and HR Payroll. Testing and RICEFW governance: Oversee SIT, UAT, and sign-off protocols, while authoring and reviewing key functional specifications (RICEFW). This is an opportunity to lead a high-impact SAP finance workstream within a large, multi-business group transformation. The successful candidate will influence finance process standardization, strengthen governance, and help shape the future-state operating model for SAP-enabled financial management. Required qualifications and experience Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, computer science, or related field. Professional certifications (CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA) are highly advantageous. Overall experience: Minimum 8–10+ years of core SAP FI/CO implementation and team lead experience, with at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations. Leadership and team management: Proven track record of leading SAP finance workstreams and managing onshore/offshore delivery teams successfully. Domain expertise: Deep understanding of UAE tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax), multi-currency accounting, and corporate financial consolidation. Specialized SAP knowledge: Hands-on experience or functional mastery in S/4HANA Cash Management, Receivables Management (FSCM), and RE-FX (Real Estate Management). Legacy ERP migration experience: Prior experience leading or supporting migration from legacy ERP platforms, such as Oracle EBS, to SAP S/4HANA is a strong advantage. Industry context: Prior exposure to conglomerate, EPC, contracting, or real estate business models in the GCC region.
