Chief Accountant – Full-Time Position | UAE Role Summary The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company’s complete accounting and financial reporting function, ensuring accurate books, timely financial reporting, strong financial controls and compliance with applicable UAE requirements. The role will manage day-to-day accounting, month-end and year-end closing, accounts payable and receivable, cash flow, reconciliations, inventory accounting, payroll coordination, VAT and corporate tax matters, budgeting and financial analysis. The Chief Accountant will work closely with senior management and other departments to provide reliable financial information and support sound commercial decision-making. Key Responsibilities Manage the full accounting cycle and maintain accurate financial records. Supervise accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, collections and payments. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management accounts. Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures. Prepare bank, supplier, customer and general-ledger reconciliations. Monitor cash flow, working capital and outstanding receivables/payables. Oversee inventory and cost accounting, particularly important in a manufacturing environment. Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning. Ensure proper accounting controls and authorization procedures are followed. Manage VAT, corporate tax and other statutory accounting requirements. Coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax advisers and other financial stakeholders. Ensure accounting records and supporting documentation are complete and audit-ready. Identify financial discrepancies, control weaknesses and opportunities to improve processes. Provide management with meaningful financial analysis and recommendations. Supervise, train and develop accounting staff.
