The NOV San Antonio, TX Fiber Glass Systems (FGS) facility is seeking a Material Handler I to support the manufacturing process. This role involves loading/unloading items using a forklift, rigging, packing orders, and managing inventory. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Using light duty forklift load/unload items onto containers, trucks, or railcars safe and efficiently
Rigger – using hand signals guide the crane and/or forklift operators
Ensure load is correctly tied down to prevent damage and load is safe for transport
Use pneumatic nail gun safely to build dunnage
Capable of packing orders and confirming counts accurately
Perform handwritten paper transactions, present to shipping office
Pull finished goods from inventory locations
Wear appropriate PPE in required areas
Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
Other duties as assigned
SKILLS, ABILITY & QUALIFICATIONS
Forklift experience preferred.
Microsoft Office experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work overtime and shift work as required to support business operations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Employee will be regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; talk or hear.
Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, and Push, Pull up to 10 hours daily.
Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.
Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 10 hours daily.
