Description
Job description / Role Job Type Full Time Job Location Dubai, UAE Nationality Any Nationality Salary Not Specified Gender Not Specified Arabic Fluency Not Specified Job Function Finance, Business Analysis & Consulting Company Industry Property & Real Estate About us Bayut & Dubizzle have the unique distinction of being iconic, homegrown brands with a strong presence across the seven emirates in the UAE. Connecting millions of users across the country, we are committed to delivering the best online search experience. As part of Dubizzle Group, we are alongside some of the strongest classified brands in the market. With a collective strength of five brands, we have more than 123 million monthly users that trust in our dedication to providing them with the best platform for their needs. Role overview As an analyst in the Strategy & Commercial team, you will take ownership of the workstream and see it through — from an ambiguous question to an answer someone can act on. You will work alongside vertical commercial leads, pricing specialists, revenue operations, and the sales organisation on the questions that determine how the business grows: what our customers are worth, why they stay or leave, what we should charge, and where the next increment of revenue will come from. Your role goes beyond producing analysis on request. You will combine data analysis and research, conduct conversations with the people closest to the market, and generate insights. You are expected to form a view and to defend it. You will build the analysis and provide recommendations with quantified impact by extracting and cleaning the data, constructing the model, testing the logic, and standing behind the numbers. Your role will identify and unlock new revenue streams across Bayut and Dubizzle’s marketplaces by analysing customer value, retention, and pricing levers. Key responsibilities Take full ownership of strategic workstreams, transforming ambiguous business challenges into clear, actionable solutions that drive revenue. Extract and clean complex datasets, construct rigorous financial and operational models, and test business logic to quantify the impact of strategic recommendations. Combine quantitative data analysis, qualitative market research, and conversations with frontline teams to identify where the next increment of revenue will come from. Go beyond responding to ad-hoc data requests. Analyse and provide actionable recommendations on critical business drivers, including pricing structures, product packaging, customer acquisition, retention (churn), and sales performance. Formulate strong, data-backed perspectives on market dynamics (e.g., what customers are worth, why they stay or leave, what we should charge). Present these insights confidently to leadership and be prepared to defend the numbers. Partner directly with vertical commercial leaders, pricing specialists, Revenue Operations, and the sales organisation to ensure strategic recommendations are practically executed in the market. You will be coached directly by your vertical or function lead, with structured feedback against a published competency framework covering ownership, first-principles thinking, analytical rigour, commercial judgement, and influence. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, business, economics, or engineering discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications in analytics or revenue management are a plus. Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Experience in classifieds, e-commerce, or digital marketplaces is a plus. Proficient in rational decision-making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning, and explicit about the assumptions behind a conclusion. Ability to create work-product-focused outputs, which may include Excel models, dashboards, PowerPoint, or written recommendations. Comfortable working with large and imperfect data sets. Advanced Excel is expected; SQL and a business intelligence tool such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker are beneficial. Excellent organisation skills, including the ability to initiate work independently and see it through to completion. Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to adjust style to different perspectives and levels of seniority. Exceptional time management in a complex and largely autonomous working environment. Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy in analysis and reporting, with a structured approach to problem-solving. Ability to apply analytical thinking to business challenges. Ability to think strategically and creatively. Curiosity about how a business makes money, and the instinct to test an assumption before building on it. Hands-on attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Highly motivated, professional, with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a diverse group. Benefits A fast paced, high performing team. Multicultural environment with over 50 different nationalities. Competitive tax-free salary. Comprehensive health insurance. Annual air ticket allowance. Employee discounts at multiple vendors across the emirates. Rewards and recognitions. Learning and development. Bayut & Dubizzle is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. Apply Now
