Job description
We are looking for an experienced indirect tax manager to provide comprehensive tax support for Etihad Airways and its group companies ('Etihad') in a range of taxation areas globally (mainly focused on indirect taxation) including planning, advisory, compliance, reporting and audit, with hands-on management of tax including tax compliances and related operational matters. Whilst successful candidates would be expected to have knowledge of taxation more generally, this role will require strong international indirect tax competence.
Accountabilities
Monitor global tax developments and ensure Etihad remains compliant and prepared for change.
Advise the business on indirect tax implications across contracts, operations, overseas branches and commercial activities.
Manage UAE VAT and other tax compliance obligations, including calculations, filings, payments and documentation.
Lead tax audits, reviews, disputes, exemptions and risk matters globally.
Maintain and improve tax policies, internal controls, governance records and reporting processes.
Support tax transformation and improvement projects, including new taxes, technology, ERP, e-invoicing and tax function reviews.
Provide tax briefings, training and stakeholder support while managing consultants, budgets, procurement and people responsibilities where needed.
