Job Purpose Advance Khalifa University's teaching, research, and innovation in Computer Engineering through high-quality education, impactful research, graduate supervision, and academic leadership.About the Role The Department of Computer and Information Engineering invites applications for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor positions. Successful candidates will contribute to the design and deployment of future computing systems, with priority areas including embedded systems, hardware-software co-design, hardware security, digital design and FPGA prototyping, neuromorphic computing, AI hardware accelerators, and quantum computing.ResponsibilitiesConduct high-quality, internationally recognized research in Computer Engineering.Publish in leading peer-reviewed journals and conferences.Secure, manage, and deliver funded research projects.Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as microprocessors, embedded systems, digital design, and computer architecture.Supervise graduate students in line with academic rank and experience.Contribute to curriculum development and innovation in university education.Promote collaboration, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and innovation activities.Participate in departmental, college, and university service as appropriate.QualificationsPhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.Research record commensurate with the academic rank and level of experience.Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching.Record of graduate student supervision appropriate to academic experience.Evidence of success in securing and managing funded research projects.Strong publication record in leading journals and conferences.Excellent communication, collaboration, and academic leadership skills.Commitment to curriculum innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer.
