Requirements
The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing quality-control experience, including experience using measuring and inspection tools. A strong understanding of control charts, acceptance criteria, product traceability, non-conformity management, and manufacturing quality processes is essential. A technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing, or Engineering is preferred.
Description
We are looking for a Quality Control Specialist to support an industrial manufacturing operation.The QC function is intended to operate independently from the production team and ensure that raw materials, production processes and finished products comply with defined quality requirements.ResponsibilitiesPerform incoming inspection of raw materials and materials.Inspect first-off products following production-line start-up.Inspect first-off products following mold changes.Conduct periodic product inspections during production.Perform final sampling inspection of finished products.Inspect:dimensions;weight;appearance;other defined product parameters.Record product defects and non-conformities.Identify and block non-conforming products.Participate in root-cause analysis.Support corrective actions.Verify that inspection and measuring equipment is serviceable and calibrated.Support development and use of product control charts.Follow product inspection frequencies and critical-parameter requirements.Maintain quality traceability.Comply with production-area EHS requirements.QualificationsTechnical diploma or Bachelor's degree in:Quality Assurance / Quality Control;Manufacturing;Engineering;or a related technical discipline preferred.Previous manufacturing quality-control experience.Experience using measuring and inspection tools.Understanding of control charts and acceptance criteria.Knowledge of product traceability.Knowledge of non-conformity management.Ability to participate in defect root-cause analysis.Good understanding of manufacturing quality processes.SEGULA Technologies is a global engineering group, boosting the competitiveness of all major industrial sectors: automotive, aerospace, energy, rail, naval, life sciences, and telecoms.
