Description
Prepare and maintain product-wise and customer-wise costing for flexible packaging products.Calculate standard and actual costs covering raw materials, direct labour, manufacturing overheads, utilities, wastage, and other production costs.Prepare costing for products such as printed films, laminated films, pouches, bags, and other flexible packaging products.Analyze material consumption, production yield, wastage, scrap, labour, machine hours, and overhead costs.Conduct actual vs. standard cost variance analysis d identify key reasons for deviations.Support the Sales team in preparing product quotations and pricing based on accurate cost calculations and required margins.Review and update BOMs (Bill of Materials), standard costs, and manufacturing cost structures.Monitor and analyze raw material price fluctuations and their impact on product costs and margins.Coordinate with Procurement to ensure updated raw material prices are incorporated into costing.Work closely with Production and Operations teams to understand manufacturing processes and cost drivers.Prepare monthly costing reports, margin analysis, and management reports.Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives.Monitor manufacturing overheads and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.Analyze inventory valuation and production-related costs and coordinate with the Finance team for accurate accounting.Review production orders and ensure costs are correctly captured in the ERP system.Support month-end closing activities related to inventory, production costs, WIP, finished goods, and cost of sales.Develop and maintain costing models and MIS reports using Excel and ERP systems.Provide costing insights to management for pricing, profitability, product mix, and business decisions.Ensure costing procedures comply with company policies and accounting principles.Perform other costing and financial analysis activities as assigned by management.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, Cost Accounting, or a related field.CA Inter / CMA / ACCA t accounting and manufacturing costing principles.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial modelling.Experience working with ERP systems and manufacturing modules.Experience6-12 years of relevant experience in costing within a manufacturing environment.Experience inflexible packaging, plastics, printing, FMCG packaging, or a similar manufacturing industry is highly preferred.Strong hands-on experience in product costing, BOM costing, variance analysis, inventory costing, and margin analysis.UAE experience will be an added advantage.
