Role overview
The consultant urological surgeon will diagnose, treat, and surgically manage a wide range of urological conditions involving the urinary tract and male reproductive system. The role involves performing elective and emergency procedures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to quality improvement and clinical excellence.
Key responsibilities
Diagnose and manage a broad range of urological disorders, including benign and malignant conditions.
Perform open, laparoscopic, endoscopic, and other minimally invasive urological procedures according to clinical privileges.
Evaluate and treat patients with kidney stones, prostate disorders, urinary tract diseases, urinary incontinence, and male reproductive conditions.
Provide comprehensive pre-operative, operative, and post-operative patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and collaborate with oncology, nephrology, radiology, and other specialties when required.
Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to medical education and clinical training.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and international clinical standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, patient safety activities, and continuing medical education.
