Oversee the development and execution of consulting programs that support student growth and align with organizational goals. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and professional development among team members. Ensure the delivery of high-quality consulting services to students, guardians, and other stakeholders. Act as a liaison between students, instructors, and management to maintain a professional and supportive atmosphere. Develop and implement strategies to address academic, attendance, and behavioral challenges among students. Promote continuous improvement and alignment with best practices in student consulting. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards. Key accountabilities Job specific: Strategic supervision & performance oversight Lead and guide the student consulting team by setting clear objectives, assigning responsibilities, and reinforcing a high-performance culture. Monitor team productivity, adherence to deadlines, and delivery of quality student support services through structured tracking and feedback mechanisms. Review and submit performance reports aligned with departmental KPIs and ATA’s strategic goals. Operational planning & sectional excellence Design and implement efficient workflows to ensure optimal functioning of the student consulting section. Organize and chair regular team meetings to align objectives, address bottlenecks, and foster team collaboration. Advanced problem resolution Serve as the primary escalation point for unresolved behavioral, academic, or attendance concerns beyond counselor-level intervention. Engage directly with students, guardians, faculty, and staff to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of critical issues. Internal & cross-functional communication Act as a liaison between upper management and the student consulting team to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information. Ensure communication continuity across morning and afternoon shifts to preserve consistency in student services. Promote a culture of mutual respect, transparency, and trust among students, instructors, and ATA leadership. Research, analysis & strategic recommendations Lead qualitative and quantitative research on student development, behavioral trends, and academic performance to inform ATA-wide decisions. Develop strategic proposals and initiatives based on data insights to support long-term planning and student engagement. Field oversight & site engagement Conduct regular site visits to Al Dhafra campus to monitor trainee experience and service quality. Evaluate student well-being, performance, and discipline, ensuring alignment with ATA's support standards. Generic: Management Plan and supervise the activities of the personnel and resources of the section to achieve the department objectives in an efficient and cost-conscious manner while ensuring implementation of approved operational plans for the section in line with department objectives. Develop the knowledge, competencies and innovative spirit in the section and support the establishment of personal development plans (PDPs), succession planning and talent pipeline within the section in coordination with the human capability group to continuously develop employees with emphasis on UAE nationals to meet Emiratization targets. Budgets and operational plans Compile and provide input for preparation of the department budgets and regularly monitor expenditure against approved section budget levels. Investigate, highlight and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control. Policies, systems, processes & procedures Lead the implementation of approved section policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and internal controls in order to support execution of the department work programs in line with company and international standards. Performance management Implement the company performance management system for individuals within the section in accordance with company approved guidelines and continuously monitor the achievement of the section KPIs related to the approved annual performance management contract and the balanced score card. Innovation and continuous improvement Encourage innovation, enhance employee motivation and support initiatives for implementation of change management to continuously improve operations and services. Propose improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the section. Health, safety, environment (HSE) and sustainability Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, systems & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the section in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC code of practices. Ensure adequate HSE training and induction for all section employees to meet HSE standards. Management information systems (MIS) and reports Prepare all section MIS and progress reports to provide accurate and timely reports and necessary information to company management to effectively manage the business. Communication & working relationship Internal: Manager, student services department; ATA students and teaching staff; counsellors and officer administration; any other departments or sections as required. External: Guardians of students, especially those facing academic, attendance, or behavioral challenges. Qualifications, experience, knowledge & skills Minimum qualification Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social science, or equivalent.
