Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing, a valid DHA Registered Nurse License, and a DHA Laser Therapist Privilege/License. Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an aesthetic, dermatology, cosmetic, or plastic surgery clinic, with hands-on experience in laser hair removal and aesthetic laser procedures. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is also mandatory.
Description
The DHA Aesthetic Registered Nurse & Laser Therapist is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality nursing care and performing laser and aesthetic treatments within the scope of their DHA license and approved privileges. The role includes assisting physicians during aesthetic procedures, conducting patient assessments, educating patients on treatment plans and aftercare, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring compliance with DHA regulations, infection control standards, and clinic policies.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Nursing ResponsibilitiesProvide professional nursing care in accordance with DHA standards and evidence-based practiceAssess patients, record medical history, allergies, medications, and vital signsPrepare patients for consultations, aesthetic treatments, and minor proceduresAssist Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons, and Aesthetic Physicians during clinical and cosmetic proceduresAdminister medications and injections as prescribed by licensed physiciansMonitor patients before, during, and after procedures and respond appropriately to any complicationsMaintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient recordsLaser & Aesthetic ResponsibilitiesPerform laser hair removal and other approved laser procedures within the scope of the DHA license and clinical privilegesConduct patient consultations and skin assessments to determine suitability for treatmentExplain treatment plans, expected outcomes, risks, benefits, and post-treatment care instructionsObtain informed consent before carrying out laser proceduresPerform skin rejuvenation and other non-invasive aesthetic treatments as permitted by DHA and clinic protocolsEnsure proper operation, safety checks, and maintenance of laser equipmentAdhere to all laser safety regulations and infection control protocolsDocument treatment parameters, patient responses, and follow-up recommendationsRequirementsQualificationsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institutionValid DHA Registered Nurse LicenseDHA Laser Therapist Privilege/LicenseValid Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationAdditional certifications in aesthetic nursing or laser treatments are an advantageExperienceMinimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an aesthetic, dermatology, cosmetic, or plastic surgery clinicHands-on experience in laser hair removal and aesthetic laser proceduresExperience assisting with cosmetic procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers, PRP, skin rejuvenation, and minor dermatological procedures is preferred
