Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join our prestigious healthcare team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and surgically managing a wide range of spinal disorders, injuries, and deformities in adult and pediatric patients. The role requires expertise in both conservative and advanced surgical spine care while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and manage congenital, degenerative, traumatic, infectious, neoplastic, and deformity-related spinal conditions.Perform comprehensive clinical evaluations, including detailed patient history, physical examinations, and neurological assessments.Interpret diagnostic investigations such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, bone scans, and other relevant imaging studies.Perform complex spinal surgical procedures, including minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal decompression, spinal fusion, disc replacement, deformity correction, and revision spine surgeries.Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing both surgical and non-surgical management approaches.Provide pre-operative counseling, surgical planning, and post-operative follow-up care.Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, pain management specialists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.Manage spinal trauma and emergency cases in accordance with established clinical protocols.Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical risks, recovery expectations, and preventive spine care.Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with DHA regulations and hospital policies.Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, and allied healthcare professionals where applicable.Ensure adherence to patient safety standards, infection control protocols, and ethical medical practices.QualificationsMedical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.Completion of a recognized Residency in Orthopedic Surgery.Fellowship or Subspecialty Training in Spine Surgery from a recognized institution.Board Certification or equivalent in Orthopedic Surgery.DHA Eligibility Letter, DHA License, or eligibility for Consultant licensure in Dubai.Additional certifications in minimally invasive spine surgery or advanced spinal techniques are an advantage.ExperienceMinimum of 8–10 years of post-specialization experience, including significant experience in spine surgery.Proven expertise in complex spinal procedures, minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal deformity correction, and revision surgeries.Experience in a tertiary care hospital or internationally accredited healthcare institution is preferred.Skills & CompetenciesAdvanced expertise in orthopedic spine surgery and spinal biomechanics.Strong clinical judgment and complex surgical decision-making skills.Proficiency in minimally invasive and advanced spinal surgical techniques.Excellent leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration abilities.Strong communication and patient counseling skills.Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.High level of professionalism, ethical practice, and patient-centered care.Excellent organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
