Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction QA/QC principles and practices.

  • In-depth knowledge of concrete, reinforcement, formwork, earthworks, foundations, structural works, roads, drainage, and finishing activities.

  • Strong understanding of ITPs, method statements, inspection procedures, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality documentation.

  • Knowledge of international standards and specifications such as ASTM, BS, EN, ACI, and relevant project standards.

  • Familiarity with UAE construction codes, authority requirements, and quality practices.

  • Strong knowledge of material inspection and laboratory testing procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

  • 8–12 years of relevant QA/QC experience in civil construction, engineering, infrastructure, building, industrial, or EPC projects.

  • Strong experience in managing QA/QC activities for large-scale civil construction projects.

  • Experience with consultants, clients, subcontractors, laboratories, and third-party inspection agencies.

  • Proven experience in preparing and implementing ITPs, Method Statements, QA/QC Plans, NCRs, and Quality Dossiers.

  • UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.

  • Experience working on projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be an advantage.

  • Certification such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor, CSWIP, or other relevant QA/QC certification will be an added advantage.

Description
Lead and oversee QA/QC activities for civil construction works throughout the project lifecycle.Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures in accordance with project requirements.Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, method statements, ITPs, and contract documents to establish quality requirements.Prepare and review Inspection and Test Plans, checklists, method statements, quality procedures, and inspection forms.Ensure all civil construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and approved method statements.Supervise quality inspections for earthworks, excavation, backfilling, foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, structural works, masonry, waterproofing, roads, drainage, utilities, and finishing works.Review material submittals and ensure materials received at site comply with approved specifications and project requirements.Coordinate with laboratories for material testing, including concrete, soil, aggregates, reinforcement steel, asphalt, and other construction materials.Witness and verify field and laboratory tests and ensure test results meet specified acceptance criteria.Ensure proper documentation and traceability of material approvals, test certificates, inspection requests, and quality records.Raise, review, and close Inspection Requests and ensure timely inspection by consultants/client representatives.Identify non-conforming works and materials and initiate NCRs, observations, and corrective action processes.Coordinate with construction teams to investigate quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.Monitor closure of NCRs, site observations, punch points, and outstanding quality issues.Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with approved procedures and project requirements.Conduct internal quality audits and support external, client, consultant, and certification audits.Ensure calibration and validity of inspection, measuring, and testing equipment used on the project.Monitor workmanship and ensure construction teams follow approved quality standards and procedures.Review subcontractor and supplier quality documentation and monitor their compliance with project QA/QC requirements.Participate in technical meetings, quality meetings, and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.Provide technical guidance and support to QA/QC Engineers, Inspectors, supervisors, and construction teams.Review engineering and construction changes to assess their impact on quality requirements.Ensure approved drawings and latest revisions are available at work locations.Monitor concrete pouring activities, including pre-pour inspections, concrete delivery, slump testing, temperature checks, cube sampling, curing, and related documentation.Verify reinforcement installation, formwork dimensions, embedments, anchor bolts, levels, alignment, and other critical civil elements before concrete placement.Monitor waterproofing, protective coatings, sealants, finishes, and other specialist civil works.Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection records, test reports, NCR logs, audit reports, and quality dashboards.Track quality performance indicators and identify recurring issues and areas for improvement.Support root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.Ensure quality records are properly compiled for project close-out and handover.Review and coordinate preparation of final QA/QC dossiers, as-built documentation, test certificates, warranties, and handover records.Promote a strong quality culture across project teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
