Requirements
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Engineering. 12 years of experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 3 years in a supervisory role. Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies. Knowledge of Industry standards. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, presentation, negotiation, and facilitation skills. Ability to manage development and implementation of Quality Management Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industry. Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills. Additional quality, welding or NDE inspection related qualifications are a plus.

This is a long-term contract role working on a residential basis 6-days per week / 10 hours per day. Please see details below:Title: Quality Lead (Vendor)Start Date: Negotiable (typically within 1 month notice)Duration: 36 months (potential for extension)Location: Onshore (site based), QatarWorking Schedule: 6-days per week / 10 hours per dayJob PurposeResponsible for implementing the QELNG project quality management program and ensuring the effective implementation of EPC Contractor's quality management system with regards to Procurement Quality for Multi Billion Major Offshore Compression Project.Job Context &Major Challenge(s)The role will require excellent self organization skills with interactions across diverse organizations at global reach, including business trips as and when requiredWorking under pressure, but maintain positive and constructive mindset Complete multiple tasks, but not to jeopardise prioritization of activities versus criticality and integrityEnsure there is quality, effectiveness and consistency in Procurement Quality processes, systems, procedures and work products.Manages the resolution of problems in more demanding and less familiar situations using precedent and own acquired knowledge.Key AccountabilitiesReport to Head of Quality (Compression Project).Implement the Project Quality Plan and provide oversight of Contractor's Project Quality Management System and procedures to ensure that all purchased material and equipment are compliant with project specificationsImplement the Procurement Quality Surveillance Program to confirm that procurement activities performed by the EPC Contractor are adequate and effective as part of the overall risk management programAdminister the provision of inspection resources using QELNG approved Third Party Inspection Services (TPSIS) & Site Inspection Services (SIS) Call-Off frame AgreementsClose monitor and assess the TPSIS & SIS inspectors performances, and implement increase PMT flexibility and availability, by providing more intensive presence at key equipment manufacturers/vendors shops where criticality has determined past problems or weaknesses5. Implement Deficiency & NCR Management processes to ensure that deficiencies and non-conformances are identified, recorded, investigated and resolved to maintain compliancewith project requirementsImplement Quality Reporting process to monitor quality performance; and to communicate and report on procurement quality performance, issues and risks, and developing trends to Head of QualityActively participate in Project Quality Audit Program to confirm that procurement activities are conducted in accordance with agreed plans and procedures, including periodic assessments of Contractor's purchasing and subcontracting processesConduct other quality related tasks as directed by Head of QualityQualificationsMinimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Sciences or EngineeringKnowledge And/or ExperienceAdditional quality, welding or NDE inspection related qualifications12 years experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 3 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.Knowledge of Industry standardsTechnical And Business SkillsExcellent written and verbal English language communication skillsWell-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions using presentation, negotiation and facilitation skillsAbility to manage development and implementation of QualityManagement Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industryAbility to interact with project management team and Contractors confidentlyRequires strong analytical, organisational and planning skills
