Key responsibilities
Provide high-quality careers and university guidance to students across the secondary school.
Support students in exploring their interests, strengths and future aspirations to make informed pathway decisions.
Advise students and parents on MYP and DP subject selection, ensuring alignment with future university and career goals.
Meet regularly with students and parents to discuss academic pathways, university options and post-secondary planning.
Organise careers events, university visits, guest speakers and workshops to broaden students' awareness of future opportunities.
Work collaboratively with the wider college counselling team to support applications to universities in the UAE, UK, USA, Canada, Europe and other international destinations.
Guide students through the university application process, including personal statements, essays, recommendation letters and application timelines.
Build positive relationships with universities, admissions representatives and external organisations.
Maintain accurate records of student destinations and application outcomes.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote a culture of aspiration, ambition and informed decision-making.
