Requirements
QualificationsStrong experience (4-6 years) in steel detailing and structural engineering, including the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and translate them into accurate fabrication and erection details.Hands-on experience with industry-standard CAD and 3D modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or equivalent), as well as familiarity with ERP-integrated workflows for fabrication.Solid understanding of relevant international and regional steel design and fabrication codes and standards, and proven ability to apply them in practical project scenarios.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quality-checking skills to review, verify, and approve complex detailing work and resolve technical discrepancies.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams, clients, and site personnel, including clear documentation and reporting.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, maintain organized records, and support efficient production and installation processes.Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a closely related discipline), with several years of experience in steel detailing and

Role Description The Senior Detailing Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This position is responsible for developing detailed steel fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and erection plans in alignment with project specifications, industry codes, and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with design, engineering, and production teams to clarify technical requirements, reviewing and validating structural details, and ensuring accurate documentation for fabrication and installation. The role involves checking and approving detailers’ work, resolving design and site-related issues, and maintaining consistent drawing quality and documentation control. The Senior Detailing Engineer will also support project scheduling and workflows, contribute to continuous improvement of detailing practices, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
