Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3 to 5 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, methods, and best practices.Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and present clear, actionable recommendations.Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.Experience with inventory management and reconciliation processes.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
Description
Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation.Analyze manufacturing costs, prepare regular cost variance reports, and provide actionable insights to management for process improvement.Collaborate with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to monitor and control material, labor, and overhead costs.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.Conduct detailed cost analysis for new products, projects, and process changes, supporting business case development and pricing strategies.Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, investigating discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing cost-related data and analysis to support financial planning.Support internal and external audits by providing cost accounting documentation and responding to inquiries.Continuously review and enhance cost control procedures to improve efficiency and reduce waste.Train and mentor junior accounting staff on cost accounting principles and best practices.
