The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care for patients with gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, clinical excellence, and evidence-based practice. Key responsibilities Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and liver diseases. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, polypectomy, endoscopic hemostasis, biopsy, and other endoscopic procedures as credentialed. Evaluate and manage conditions including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastrointestinal bleeding, peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), liver disorders, pancreatitis, and colorectal diseases. Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging studies, and pathology reports to formulate evidence-based treatment plans. Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations. Collaborate closely with general surgery, oncology, radiology, internal medicine, hepatology, nutrition, and other multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, treatment options, nutrition, and long-term management. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME). Supervise and mentor junior physicians, fellows, residents, and allied healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and clinical governance standards.
