We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant neurosurgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnosis, surgical treatment, and management of disorders affecting the brain, spine, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system. The role requires expertise in complex neurosurgical procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence.
Key responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with neurosurgical disorders affecting the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves.
Perform elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures, including cranial and spinal surgeries.
Manage patients with brain tumors, traumatic brain injuries, spinal disorders, cerebrovascular diseases, hydrocephalus, degenerative spine conditions, congenital anomalies, and peripheral nerve disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based clinical practices.
Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
Interpret and evaluate diagnostic imaging including CT, MRI, angiography, and other neurological investigations.
Collaborate with neurologists, intensivists, radiologists, oncologists, rehabilitation specialists, emergency physicians, and other multidisciplinary teams.
Participate in emergency neurosurgical on-call services as required.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality meetings, and continuous medical education.
Mentor junior physicians, residents, and medical students while contributing to departmental teaching and research activities.

Qualifications
MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
Completion of an accredited residency and higher specialty training in neurosurgery.
Board certification, CCT, FRCS (Neurosurgery), American Board, Canadian Fellowship, Arab Board, European Board, or equivalent recognized qualification.
Eligibility for or possession of a valid DOH (Abu Dhabi) or DHA (Dubai/UAE) consultant license, depending on the facility.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications are preferred.
