Provide a comprehensive professional and ethical quality clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner.Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards.Maintain accurate medical records.Ensure excellence in medical practice is maintained by focusing on continuous professional development of self and others.Maintain integrity in professional services by executing clinical services in an ethical and responsible manner.To perform the professional duties of an endocrinologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended and approved by the Credentials Committee.To perform his duties in the Endocrinology Clinic, evaluating patients with hormonal diseases.Provides after working hours on call emergency coverage for endocrinology emergencies.To perform endocrinal procedures - dynamic hormonal test in appropriate patientTo provide consultation/referral services to the inpatient services in his area of expertise.To work with the patients throughout the entire process starting from consultation to treatment plan.Provides supervision and education to the staff nurses, patients and technicians.Participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service (e.g. monthly mortality andmorbidity conference, peer review, audit and chart review).Orders diagnostic laboratory studies and X-ray examinations, determining the diagnosis and prescribing applicable therapyParticipates in and contributes to in-service activities such as lectures, conferences and roundsParticipates in the monthly staff meetingsStrictly observes organization’s medical regulations and policies especially those related to infection control,patient safety, patient assessment and patient carePerforms other miscellaneous related duties as required by the HODOccupational Safety and Health Management Systems Comply with reasonable OSH instructions, policies and safe working proceduresUse of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.Be familiar with emergency and evacuation proceduresNot willfully or recklessly endanger anyone’s health and safetyAssist with the preparation of risk assessmentsReport OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issuesReduce, Reuse, Recycling of waste as much as possibleAttend all OSH Trainings, awareness programs and mock drills.Participates in the OSHMS audits, inspections, ensuring standards are maintainedPrevention and Control of Infection (PCI): PCI is everyone’s responsibility.
