Position OverviewA private family in Riyadh is seeking an experienced and academically accomplished Male A-Level Teacher to provide part-time, one-to-one tuition to a student undertaking A-Level studies.The successful candidate will provide rigorous and highly personalised academic support in the required A-Level subject(s), complementing the student’s formal education and supporting strong academic performance and examination preparation.The role requires an educator with excellent subject knowledge, a thorough understanding of A-Level requirements, and the ability to mentor and motivate a student through an important stage of their education.This is a discreet private appointment requiring professionalism, flexibility, maturity, and sound judgement.Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Planning and delivering high-quality one-to-one A-Level tuition.Teaching the relevant subject in line with the student’s examination board and school curriculum.Assessing the student’s current academic level and identifying areas requiring additional support.Ensuring comprehensive understanding of the relevant A-Level syllabus.Supporting homework, coursework, assignments, and school assessments.Preparing the student effectively for A-Level examinations.Using past papers, mark schemes, and examiner guidance to strengthen examination technique.Developing effective revision and independent study strategies.Providing targeted support in areas of weakness.Challenging the student appropriately to achieve their full academic potential.Monitoring academic progress and adapting tuition accordingly.Developing the student’s analytical, critical-thinking, organisation, and independent learning skills.Communicating professionally with the family regarding academic progress and priorities.Coordinating with the student’s school, teachers, or other educational advisers where required.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will be an accomplished subject specialist with strong experience teaching at A-Level and a proven ability to support students towards excellent academic outcomes.Applicants should demonstrate:Excellent knowledge of their specialist A-Level subject.Strong understanding of the British education system.Detailed knowledge of A-Level syllabus and assessment requirements.Experience preparing students for external examinations.Familiarity with relevant examination boards.The ability to use assessment data, past papers, and mark schemes effectively.The ability to tailor tuition to an individual student’s academic profile and learning style.Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.The ability to motivate and appropriately challenge an A-Level student.Excellent organisation and academic planning skills.Professional maturity, discretion, and sound judgement.Confidence working independently within a private household.A male teacher is required for this appointment.Qualifications and ExperienceApplicants should ideally hold:A degree in the relevant A-Level subject or a closely related discipline.A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent credential.Several years of professional teaching experience.Demonstrable experience teaching at A-Level.Experience preparing students for formal A-Level examinations.Knowledge of recognised examination boards such as Cambridge International, Pearson Edexcel, AQA, OCR, or equivalent.A strong record of supporting positive academic outcomes.Positive and verifiable professional references.Previous experience providing intensive one-to-one tuition or working with high-profile, VVIP, royal, diplomatic, or international families would be advantageous but is not essential.Working ArrangementsThis is a part-time private teaching position based in Riyadh.Tuition will primarily be scheduled around the student’s school timetable and academic commitments.The intensity of tuition may vary throughout the academic year, and the Teacher should be prepared to provide additional support where reasonably required during:Examination and revision periods.Mock examinations.School holidays.Coursework or assessment periods.University preparation periods, where relevant.Exact working days, teaching hours, and weekly arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.Travel and ConfidentialityThe position will be based primarily in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.Occasional domestic or international travel may be required to maintain continuity of the student’s education during important academic periods.The Teacher must maintain complete confidentiality and discretion at all times.
