Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive consultations, clinical assessments, and pre-operative evaluations.
Diagnose and manage patients requiring cosmetic, reconstructive, and plastic surgical procedures.
Perform a wide range of plastic and reconstructive surgeries according to qualifications and clinical expertise.
Perform cosmetic procedures including facial rejuvenation, body contouring, breast surgery, and other aesthetic procedures where qualified.
Perform reconstructive procedures following trauma, burns, cancer surgery, congenital conditions, and tissue loss.
Manage complex wounds, scars, soft-tissue defects, and post-surgical complications.
Develop individualized surgical plans based on patient expectations, clinical needs, and medical suitability.
Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care and monitor patient recovery.
Manage surgical complications and provide appropriate intervention when required.
Interpret relevant laboratory investigations and diagnostic imaging.
Counsel patients regarding treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, benefits, and post-operative care.
Collaborate with dermatologists, oncologists, general surgeons, ENT specialists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other specialists.
Maintain accurate patient records, operative notes, consent forms, and clinical documentation.
Supervise and mentor junior surgeons and clinical staff where required.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME).
Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare authority regulations, hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
Participate in on-call duties and emergency surgical coverage as required.
