Requirements

We are looking for a Senior Architect - Onsite to join our project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.Our team is looking for a candidate with significant site experience, specifically with Data Center or Critical Facilities projects. From our supportive culture, diverse workforce, and competitive compensation to our flexible work schedule and fun social events, it is everything you will need for an exciting, challenging, and rewarding career.Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Architect, you will be part of the site supervision team for a Data Centre project, working closely with the client, contractors, consultants and other engineering disciplines to ensure the architectural works are delivered in line with the approved design and project requirements.Represent Syska on site for all architectural matters and coordinate with the client, contractor and project team.Review architectural shop drawings, material submittals, samples, method statements and RFIs.Carry out regular site inspections and ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and applicable codes and standards.Monitor the quality and progress of architectural works and raise any concerns or non-compliances identified on site.Coordinate architectural works with structural, civil, MEP, ELV and other disciplines to resolve site and coordination issues.Review contractor proposals and provide technical comments and recommendations.Attend site, technical and progress meetings with the client, contractors and other project stakeholders.Review and respond to architectural RFIs and clarify design requirements where required.Review finishes, doors, partitions, ceilings, raised floors, waterproofing, roofing and other architectural works relevant to Data Centre facilities.Prepare and follow up on snag/punch lists and ensure outstanding items are properly closed.Review as-built drawings, O&M documentation and other close-out submissions.Support testing, inspections, authority approvals and project handover as required.Ensure the completed works maintain the original design intent and meet the operational requirements of the Data Centre.Support the project team with any architectural or construction-related matters throughout the project.Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within an engineering or architectural consultancy.Strong site supervision and construction administration experience.Previous experience on Data Centre, mission-critical or large-scale industrial projects is required.Good understanding of architectural coordination with MEP and structural systems.Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs and method statements.Familiarity with UAE codes, authority requirements and construction practices.Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred.
