About the RoleThe Optical Technician is responsible for lens cutting, glazing, fitting, repairs, order processing, stock control, and quality checks to ensure accurate and timely completion of optical orders. Job Responsibilities 1. Optical ServicesCut, glaze, and fit ophthalmic lenses according to prescriptions and frame specifications.Perform frame adjustments and basic repairs.Check lenses and frames for quality and manufacturing defects.Assist the sales team in selecting suitable lenses for frames.Process and deliver optical lens (OL) orders in the system.2. Stock & OrdersOrder and maintain RX optical lens stock.Conduct regular stock checks and replenish as required.Follow up on daily and pending orders and provide timely updates.3. Quality & EquipmentConduct quality checks before completed orders are handed over.Follow equipment maintenance and safety guidelines.Clean and switch off equipment at the end of the day.Maintain workshop cleanliness and hygiene standards.Report any damaged lenses, incidents, or technical issues promptly.
