Requirements
Requires an MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree with a recognized specialist/consultant qualification in Psychiatry, and subspecialty training or significant experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Must have a valid DOH license or eligibility to obtain one, along with significant post-specialization experience in child and adolescent mental health. Strong clinical and communication skills with children, adolescents, and families, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team are essential.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care for children and adolescents with a wide range of mental health and developmental conditions.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents.Diagnose and manage conditions including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, behavioral disorders, and other developmental and psychiatric conditions.Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, medication management, and family support.Assess and manage children and adolescents presenting with acute psychiatric symptoms and behavioral crises.Provide ongoing follow-up and monitor treatment response, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects.Work closely with parents, caregivers, schools, psychologists, therapists, pediatricians, and other specialists.Participate in multidisciplinary assessments and case discussions.Provide guidance and education to families regarding mental health, developmental concerns, and treatment options.Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure confidentiality and patient safety.Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, teaching, and professional development.RequirementsMBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.Recognized specialist/consultant qualification in Psychiatry, with subspecialty training or significant experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.Valid DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) license/eligibility or eligibility to obtain one.Significant post-specialization experience in child and adolescent mental health.Strong clinical and communication skills with children, adolescents, and their families.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Preferred ExpertiseADHD and behavioral disordersAutism spectrum disordersAnxiety and depressive disordersAdolescent mental healthDevelopmental and learning disordersChild and adolescent psychotherapyPsychopharmacologyFamily-focused interventionsCrisis and risk assessmentMultidisciplinary child mental health care
