HVAC Electrical / Automation EngineerDesign, develop, and modify electrical control systems for marine HVAC and chiller applications.Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC and HMI programs for HVAC equipment and related automation systems.Prepare and interpret electrical schematics, control wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and I/O lists.Design and review electrical control panels, including component selection, cable sizing, cable routing, and protection devices (MCBs, MCCBs, relays, etc.).Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of HVAC, refrigeration, and PLC-controlled systems both in the workshop and on site.Diagnose electrical, instrumentation, communication, and control faults, and provide effective technical solutions.Work closely with mechanical engineers and service technicians to integrate electrical and control systems with HVAC equipment.Assist in planning preventive maintenance activities and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and performance.Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, operating manuals, test reports, and as-built documentation.Provide technical support to project teams, clients, and service personnel during installation, commissioning, and after-sales activities.Ensure designs and installations comply with applicable electrical, marine, and safety standards.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance control strategies, energy efficiency, and system performance.Preferred Qualifications & SkillsDegree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (preferably Siemens TIA Portal, LAD/FBD; SCL knowledge is an advantage).Familiarity with HMI development and industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, or Ethernet/IP.Good understanding of electrical drawings, control panel design, cable sizing, and protection coordination.Basic knowledge of refrigeration cycles, chillers, pumps, valves, and HVAC control sequences.Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.Marine HVAC or industrial automation experience is preferred but not essential.
