Job description / Role Job Type Full Time Job Location Abu Dhabi, UAE Nationality Any Nationality Salary Not Specified Gender Not Specified Arabic Fluency Not Specified Job Function Engineering - Civil & Construction Company Industry Engineering Services JOB PURPOSE The QA/QC Engineer will implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures on the Ghuwaifat Project, ensuring works are executed in compliance with project specifications and applicable standards. The role manages inspection and test activities and coordinates closely with third-party inspection bodies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Implement and monitor project quality assurance and quality control procedures across all site activities. • Inspect ongoing works for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards. • Develop, maintain, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for all relevant work packages. • Coordinate with third-party inspection and testing bodies, ensuring inspections are scheduled and completed on time. • Raise, track, and close out non-conformance reports (NCRs) in coordination with site and subcontractor teams. • Review material submittals and certificates to confirm compliance with project specifications. • Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and test certificates in an organised and auditable manner. • Support internal and external quality audits and follow up on identified findings. • Provide quality-related training and toolbox talks to site personnel and subcontractors as required. • Support handover documentation, including quality records required for project close-out. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. • 5–8 years of QA/QC experience on construction or infrastructure projects. • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems. • Experience developing and implementing ITPs and managing NCRs. • UAE project experience is preferred. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES • Strong knowledge of quality standards, codes, and inspection procedures. • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills. • Strong coordination skills with third-party inspection bodies and subcontractors. • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management/reporting software. • Effective communication and reporting skills.
